Instalare

Atenţie
Before installation, turn off the main power switch to prevent electric shock. Only begin testing or connecting cables after confirming the circuit is de-energized.

  •  Remove the exterior shell of your wall box or outlet.
  • Connect the neutral wire to the N terminal, the live wire to the L terminal, and the load circuit to the O and I terminals of the Relay Switch.
  • If you want to keep the control functionality of your wall box or outlet,connect its common terminal to the L terminal, and the control wire to the SW terminal of the Relay Switch.
  • Then, reinstall the exterior shell of your wall box or outlet.

Turn on the power. Your Relay Switch will be discoverable within 10 minutes after powering on. Add it via our app during this time. If the connection times out, press the button on it for 2s or turn off the power and on again.

Connecting to DC Power Supply

For 24—48 V power supply:
Remove the exterior shell of your wall box or outlet. Connect the DC+ wire to the SwitchBot-SBT-W5502300-Switch-Bot-Relay-Switch-1-fig- 10 terminal, the GND wire to the L terminal, and the load circuit to the O and I terminals of the Relay Switch.

For 12 V power supply:
Remove the exterior shell of your wall box or outlet. Connect the 12 V DC+ wire to the +12V terminal, the GND wire to the L terminal, and the load circuit to the O and I terminals of the Relay Switch.

  • If you want to keep the control functionality of your wall box or outlet, connect its common terminal to the terminal, and the control wire to the SW terminal of the Relay Switch. Then, reinstall the exterior shell of your wall box or outlet.
  • Turn on the power. Your Relay Switch will be discoverable within 10 minutes after powering on. Add it via our app during this time. If the connection times out, press the button on it for 2s or turn off the power and on again.

Q2: What happens if the load exceeds 16 A or there is a short circuit?

A2: The relay should include overload/overcurrent protection, which will interrupt the circuit to protect itself and the wiring. However, this is a last line of defense, not a substitute for proper circuit protection (like fuses or breakers). Always size your circuit protection (breaker, fuse) to safely protect the wiring and the relay device. In a fault situation, power should be cut, the cause addressed, and the relay reset or replaced if damaged.
