5. Configurare

The E-flite 4-Site 3D FF is designed for quick and easy assembly, primarily using bolts and snaps. No glue, tape, or extensive hours are typically required.

5.1 Required Items (Not Included)

• 3S 850–1000mAh LiPo Flight Battery
• Compatible LiPo Charger

5.2 Etapele de asamblare

1. Attach Wings: Securely attach the upper and lower wings to the fuselage using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are firm.
2. Install Landing Gear: Attach the landing gear components. While the model can be hand-launched, the landing gear provides convenience for ground takeoffs and landings.
3. Conectați bateria: Connect your fully charged 3S 850–1000mAh LiPo flight battery to the ESC. Ensure the battery is secured within the battery compartment to maintain proper center of gravity.
4. Bind Transmitter: Follow your Spektrum transmitter's instructions to bind it with the installed AR630+ receiver. This process establishes communication between your transmitter and the aircraft.

Before each flight, ensure all components are securely attached, the battery is fully charged, and control surfaces respond correctly. Always fly in an open area free from obstacles, people, and animals.

6.2 Decolare

For ground takeoffs, place the aircraft on a smooth surface, align it into the wind, and gradually increase throttle. Apply slight up-elevator as speed increases to lift off. For hand launches, hold the aircraft firmly, apply full throttle, and gently toss it forward into the wind.

The aircraft is controlled using standard RC airplane controls:

• Regulator: Controls motor speed and altitude.
• Elerone: Control roll (banking left/right).
• Lift: Controls pitch (nose up/down).

6.4 Aterizare

Approach the landing area into the wind. Gradually reduce throttle and maintain a controlled descent using the elevator. Aim for a gentle touchdown on the landing gear. For soft landings, reduce throttle to idle just before contact.

7. Flight Modes (AS3X and SAFE Select)

The E-flite 4-Site 3D FF is equipped with a Spektrum AR630+ receiver featuring AS3X and optional-use SAFE Select technologies.

• AS3X (Artificial Stabilization - 3-aXis): This technology works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence, making the aircraft feel like it's flying on rails. It provides a more locked-in feel, enhancing precision and stability without interfering with your control inputs.
• SAFE Select: This optional technology offers flight envelope protection, making it easier to fly. When activated, SAFE Select provides:
  • Pitch and Bank Angle Limits: Prevents the aircraft from entering extreme attitudes.
  • Automatic Self-Leveling: Returns the aircraft to a level attitude when the control sticks are released.
  SAFE Select can be toggled on or off via a switch on your compatible Spektrum transmitter. Refer to your receiver and transmitter manuals for detailed setup and activation procedures.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your aircraft.

• Inspecţie: Before and after each flight, inspect the airframe, control surfaces, propeller, and landing gear for any damage, cracks, or loose connections.
