The AudioQuest PowerQuest 505 operates automatically to provide clean power and surge protection. There are minimal user controls beyond the main power switch.
- Pornire/Oprire: Use the main power switch on the front panel to turn the unit on or off.

- "Protection On" (Green LED): This light indicates that the surge protection circuitry is active and functioning correctly. It should be illuminated whenever the unit is powered on.
- "Overvoltage Protection" (Red LED): This light illuminates if the incoming AC voltage exceeds a safe threshold (e.g., 140VAC), triggering the Extreme-Voltage Shutdown feature. The unit will automatically disengage power to protect connected equipment. Once the voltage returns to a safe level, the unit will automatically reset.
- Buton de resetare: A reset button is located near the power inlet on the rear panel. In rare cases, if the unit does not power on after an event, you may press this button to reset the internal circuit breaker.
