3. Configurare
3.1. Despachetarea și plasarea
- Carefully remove all packaging materials and protective films from the machine and accessories.
- Place the espresso machine on a flat, stable, and dry surface, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Clean all removable parts (water tank, portafilter, filter baskets, drip tray) with warm water and mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly.
3.2. Umplerea rezervorului de apă
- Remove the transparent water tank located at the rear of the machine.
- Umpleți rezervorul cu apă potabilă proaspătă și rece până la indicatorul de nivel MAX.
- If desired, insert a compatible water filter (Brita Maxtra+ or Laica Bi-Flux) into the adapter in the water tank.
- Place the filled water tank back into its position, ensuring it is securely seated.

3.3. Prima utilizare / Amorsarea mașinii
- Asigurați-vă că rezervorul de apă este umplut.
- Conectați cablul de alimentare la o priză cu împământare.
- Turn on the machine using the power button. The machine will begin to heat up.
- Once heated, place a container under the portafilter spout (without coffee).
- Press the single or double espresso button to run water through the system. This primes the pump and flushes any manufacturing residue. Repeat this process 2-3 times.
- Run hot water through the steam wand for a few seconds to prime it as well.
4. Operating the Espresso Machine
4.1. Măcinarea boabelor de cafea
- Fill the bean hopper with fresh, roasted coffee beans.
- Select your desired grind size using the grind adjustment dial. A finer grind is typically used for espresso, while a coarser grind is for overpressure baskets.
- Insert the portafilter into the grinding cradle. The grinder will activate automatically when the portafilter is pushed against the activation lever.
- Grind the desired amount of coffee into the filter basket.

4.2. Prepararea espressoului
- Preîncălzirea ceștilor: Place your espresso cups on the cup warming tray or rinse them with hot water from the hot water function.
- Pregătirea portafiltrului: După măcinare, tamp the coffee grounds evenly and firmly into the filter basket. Wipe any excess grounds from the rim of the portafilter.
- Introduceți portafiltrul: Securely insert the portafilter into the brew group.
- Selectați infuzia: Press the single or double espresso button. The machine will automatically dispense the programmed volume of espresso. You can also manually stop the flow by pressing the button again.
- Monitorizare presiune: Observe the barometer during extraction. The needle should ideally be in the optimal range for a perfect espresso.

4.3. Aburirea laptelui
- Fill the milk frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy).
- Turn the steam knob to activate the steam wand. Wait for the steam to reach full pressure.
- Purgați scurt duza de abur în tava de scurgere pentru a îndepărta apa condensată.
- Submerge the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Angle the pitcher to create a swirling motion.
- Steam the milk until it reaches the desired temperature and texture (micro-foam).
- Turn off the steam knob and immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp o cârpă pentru a preveni uscarea reziduurilor de lapte.
- Use the water system cooling function if you plan to brew another espresso immediately after steaming.
4.4. Funcția de apă caldă
To dispense hot water for tea or Americanos, activate the hot water function (refer to your machine's specific button for this feature). Place a cup under the hot water spout and press the button to dispense.
5. Întreținere
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ETA Artista Pro espresso machine.
5.1. Curățenie zilnică
- Portafiltru și coșuri de filtrare: After each use, remove the spent coffee grounds and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under hot water.
- Duză de abur: Imediat după aburirea laptelui, ștergeți duza de abur cu un strat de adeziv.amp Purgați scurt aburul pentru a îndepărta orice reziduu intern de lapte.

- Grup de bere: Wipe the shower screen and gasket of the brew group with a damp cloth to remove coffee residue.
5.2. Curățenie săptămânală
- Spălare inversă: Insert the blind filter basket into the portafilter. Add a small amount of espresso machine cleaning detergent (if recommended by the manufacturer). Lock the portafilter into the brew group. Run a brew cycle for 10-15 seconds, then stop. Repeat 3-5 times. Remove the portafilter and rinse thoroughly. Repeat the backflushing process with plain water to rinse.
- Curățarea râșniței: The integrated grinder can be easily removed for cleaning. Follow the instructions in the grinder section of your full manual for detailed steps. Use the provided brush to remove coffee grounds.
5.3. Detartraj
The frequency of descaling depends on your water hardness and usage. It is recommended to descale your machine every 2-3 months or as indicated by the machine (if it has a descaling alert). Use a descaling solution specifically designed for espresso machines and follow the product's instructions carefully. Refer to the full manual for the detailed descaling procedure for your ETA Artista Pro.
