1. Introducere și Pesteview

The COMTEC ZDR016 is a dual-camera drive recorder designed to capture both front and rear views in Full HD (2-megapixel) resolution. This device records continuously during driving and can also provide parking surveillance. Recorded footage poate fi reviewed on the main unit's LCD screen or transferred to a computer for detailed analysis.

2. Configurare și instalare

The COMTEC ZDR016 is designed for adhesive mounting. For parking surveillance functionality, an optional direct wiring cord (model HDROP-14) is required. Ensure proper cable routing to avoid interference with vehicle operations and to maintain a clear field of view.

• Constant Recording: Records continuously from the moment the engine is turned ON until it is turned OFF. The recording duration is dependent on the selected recording size, frame rate, and image quality settings. When the storage capacity is full, the oldest files are automatically overwritten by default.
• Impact Recording: Utilizes a built-in G-sensor to detect impacts. Upon detection, the device automatically saves the current recording segment, along with the preceding and following segments, as protected impact recording data. Oldest impact files may be overwritten if the dedicated storage limit is reached.
• Înregistrare manuală: Allows users to manually initiate a recording by pressing a designated switch. This function saves the current recording segment, as well as the preceding and following segments, as protected manual recording data. Oldest manual files may be overwritten if the dedicated storage limit is reached.
• Înregistrare Time-Lapse: This mode compresses still images captured every second into a short video, enabling extended recording periods. This feature is available during both driving and parking surveillance, making it easier to review long periods of footage eficient.

Safety Driving Support Functions

The ZDR016 includes several features designed to assist with safe driving:

• Rear Vehicle Approach Alert: Detects vehicles approaching from behind and provides an audible or alarm notification. This function can also automatically save the event as "Rear Vehicle Approach Recording Data."

Parking Surveillance Function

This function requires the optional direct wiring cord (HDROP-14). It detects impacts while the vehicle is parked and records both front and rear images. Continuous recording is also an option. Recorded parking surveillance footage is saved to a dedicated folder for easy review.

• Impact Quick Recording: This mode activates only when an impact is detected, recording the event. By remaining inactive during normal parking, it conserves power, allowing for extended parking surveillance periods.
• One-Time Parking Surveillance Mode: Allows temporary activation of parking surveillance even if the feature is usually disabled. Useful for specific situations or locations.
• Parking Surveillance Mode Pass Function: Temporarily disables parking surveillance in environments prone to false triggers, such as mechanical parking lots or during strong winds.

Nota: Depending on the main unit's settings and the capacity of the microSDHC card, older parking surveillance images may be overwritten.

Image Quality Features

• High-Speed Start Recording: A newly developed system ensures recording begins immediately after the engine is turned ON, capturing footage from the very start of your drive.
• HDR/WDR for Clear Night Images: Equipped with High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) functions, the front camera corrects for overexposed bright areas and underexposed dark areas, providing clear images even in challenging lighting conditions like backlighting or tunnels. (Note: Rear camera does not feature HDR/WDR).
• 2-Megapixel High-Quality Images: Records vivid, high-quality images. This is crucial for clarifying accident causes and facilitating smooth incident resolution. It also allows for enjoyable review of driving memories.
• Bright Night Shooting: Features a 1/2.7-inch image sensor. The enlarged image sensor captures clearer images and significantly improves brightness during night recordings.
• Compatible with LED Traffic Lights Nationwide: Ensures reliable recording even with the varying power frequencies used for LED traffic lights in different regions of Japan.

• No Regular Formatting Required: The ZDR016 utilizes a proprietary file system that significantly reduces file fragmentation on the SD card, minimizing the need for frequent manual formatting.
• SD Card Check Function: Upon startup, the device checks the microSDHC card for damage. If damage is detected, an LED indicator will alert you, helping to prevent missed recordings due to card issues.

Data Protection Features

• Emergency Recording Stop Function: In the event of a severe impact (e.g., an accident), recording automatically stops. This prevents important footage from being overwritten if the device remains powered on during vehicle movement or repairs after the incident. The impact detection sensitivity can be adjusted across 11 levels, including OFF.

The COMTEC ZDR016 comes with a 1 an garanție from the date of purchase. Please note that certain accessories, such as mounting stays, cigarette lighter plug cords, built-in batteries, and microSDHC cards, are considered consumables and are not covered under this warranty.

The warranty will be void if there is no verifiable proof of purchase date or if the product is used outside of Japan.
