1. Introducere

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and care of your WMF Lumero Portafilter Espresso Machine. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.

2. Instrucțiuni de siguranță

Respectați întotdeauna următoarele măsuri de siguranță pentru a preveni vătămările corporale sau deteriorarea aparatului:

• Asigurați-vă că aparatul este conectat la o priză de alimentare cu împământare corespunzătoare.
• Nu scufundați aparatul, cablul de alimentare sau ștecherul în apă sau alte lichide.

3. Configurare și prima utilizare

3.1 Despachetarea

Scoateți cu grijă toate componentele din ambalaj. Cutia conține:

• 1x WMF Lumero Portafilter Espresso Machine
• 1x Portafilter handle
• 3x Filter inserts (for 1 cup, 2 cups, and ESE pods)
• 1x Measuring spoon with tamper

3.2 Initial Cleaning and Filling the Water Tank

1. Before first use, clean the water tank, portafilter, and filter inserts with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
2. Așezați mașina pe o suprafață stabilă și plană.

4. Umpleți rezervorul de apă cu apă proaspătă, rece până la marcajul MAX.

3.3 Amorsarea mașinii

Before making coffee, the machine needs to be primed:

1. Plug in the machine. The power button will illuminate.
2. Așezați o ceașcă sub gura de scurgere a portfiltrului (fără cafea).
3. Turn the control dial to the coffee brewing position (pictograma ceașcă). Let water run through until the cup is full.
4. Turn the control dial back to the standby position (pictograma punct).
5. Repeat this process for the steam function by turning the dial to the steam position (pictogramă Steam) and letting steam release for a few seconds.

4. Instrucțiuni de utilizare

4.1 Prepararea espressoului

1. Asigurați-vă că rezervorul de apă este umplut.
2. Select the appropriate filter insert (1-cup or 2-cup) and place it into the portafilter.
3. Add finely ground espresso coffee to the filter. Use the measuring spoon to add 1 scoop for a single espresso or 2 scoops for a double espresso.
4. Lejer tamp the coffee grounds with the flat end of the measuring spoon. Ensure the coffee is level and not overfilled.
5. Attach the portafilter to the brewing head by aligning it and turning it firmly to the right until it locks.

7. Press the 1-cup or 2-cup button on the front panel. The machine will automatically brew the espresso and stop when the programmed volume is reached.
8. To manually stop brewing, press the button again.

4.2 Utilizarea dispozitivului de spumare a laptelui

The integrated milk foam nozzle allows for frothing milk for cappuccinos and latte macchiatos, or dispensing hot water for tea.

1. Umpleți un ulcior cu lapte rece (lat sau non-lat) până la aproximativ o treime.
2. Turn the control dial to the steam position (pictogramă Steam). Wait for the indicator light to show the machine is ready for steam.
3. Submerge the milk frother nozzle just below the surface of the milk.
4. Slowly turn the control dial to the steam release position. Steam will begin to froth the milk.
5. Move the pitcher up and down gently to create a consistent foam.
6. Once desired foam consistency and temperature are reached, turn the control dial back to the standby position.
7. Immediately clean the milk frother nozzle after use (see Maintenance section).

5. Întreținere și curățare

5.1 Curățare zilnică

• Tavă de scurgere: Empty and clean the drip tray daily. The drip tray has a water level indicator.
• Portafiltru și inserții filtrante: După fiecare utilizare, scoateți portafiltrul, aruncați zațul de cafea și clătiți portafiltrul și inserțiile de filtru sub jet de apă.
• Duză spumare lapte: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the nozzle with a damp cloth. Turn the steam dial briefly to release any residual milk from inside the nozzle.

5.2 Detartraj

The machine features an automatic descaling program. The frequency of descaling depends on water hardness and usage. Refer to the machine's indicator lights for descaling alerts.

1. Folosiți o soluție de detartrare adecvată, recomandată pentru espressoare.
2. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling solution and the machine's specific descaling procedure (usually involves filling the water tank with solution and running cycles).
3. După detartrare, clătiți bine mașina rulând mai multe cicluri cu apă proaspătă.
