1. Introducere

The Notifier ISO-X Alarm Fault Isolator Module is designed to protect fire alarm system Signaling Line Circuits (SLC) from wire-to-wire short circuits. This module ensures that a short circuit on the SLC loop does not disable the entire loop, allowing other devices on the loop to continue functioning normally. It is an essential component for maintaining system integrity and reliability in fire detection and alarm systems.

3. Configurare și instalare

Installation of the ISO-X module should only be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with all local and national electrical codes, and the manufacturer's specific installation instructions (document 156-3624 referenced on the module itself).

4. Funcționare

The Notifier ISO-X module operates passively within the SLC loop. In the event of a wire-to-wire short circuit on the SLC loop, the ISO-X module automatically isolates the affected segment of the loop. This isolation prevents the short circuit from disrupting communication with other devices on the healthy segments of the loop.

Once the short circuit condition is cleared, the ISO-X module automatically restores the isolated segment to normal operation, allowing full communication across the entire SLC loop without manual intervention.
