3. Configurare și instalare

Locația de montare

For optimal protection, install smoke detectors in:

• Every sleeping area and on every level of your home, including the basement.
• The center of the ceiling, if possible, at least 30 cm (12 inches) from any wall.
• Away from air vents, fans, or areas with high air circulation that could prevent smoke from reaching the detector.
• At least 1 meter (3 feet) from light fittings or decorative objects.

3. Drill two holes at the marked points. Insert the wall plugs into the drilled holes.

6. Perform a test of the smoke detector immediately after installation (refer to Section 4.2).

4. Funcționare

4.2 Testing the Smoke Detector

When the battery is nearing the end of its life, the detector will emit a short 'chirp' sound approximately every 45 seconds for at least 30 days. This indicates that the unit needs to be replaced. The battery is integrated and cannot be changed by the user. When the low battery warning sounds, the entire smoke detector unit must be replaced.
