1. Introducere

This heavy-duty cash drawer is designed for reliable and efficient cash management in various point-of-sale (POS) environments, including retail, grocery, and hospitality. 3. Configurare

3.1 Plasarea

Place the cash register drawer on a flat, stable, and secure surface. Ensure there is enough clearance for the drawer to open fully without obstruction. The drawer features rubber stands for stability and to prevent scratching surfaces.

3.2 Connecting to a POS System (via Printer)

The Volcora cash drawer is designed to connect to a receipt or thermal printer, which then connects to your Point of Sale (POS) system. This setup allows the cash drawer to open automatically upon transaction completion.

1. Locate the RJ11/RJ12 port on the back of your cash drawer.
2. Connect one end of the provided RJ11/RJ12 network cable to this port.
3. Connect the other end of the cable to the cash drawer port on your receipt/thermal printer.
4. Ensure your printer is properly connected to your POS system.

Notă importantă: This cash drawer does not have a USB port and cannot be connected directly to a POS system via USB. It requires a compatible receipt/thermal printer for automatic opening functionality.

Compatible printer brands include, but are not limited to: Star, Citizen, JAY, and Bixolon.

4. Instrucțiuni de utilizare

4.1 Opening the Cash Drawer

The cash drawer offers three methods of opening:

• Manual Open (Key Position 1): Insert the key into the lock and turn it to the "Manual Open" position. The drawer will spring open.
• Auto Open by Printer/POS (Key Position 2): With the key in the "Auto Open" position, the drawer will open automatically when triggered by a connected receipt/thermal printer or POS system after a transaction.
• Lock (Key Position 3): Turn the key to the "Lock" position to secure the drawer. The drawer cannot be opened manually or automatically in this position.

4.2 Using the Cash Tray and Media Slot

The cash tray is designed for efficient organization of currency:

• The tray features 5 dedicated bill slots and 6 coin slots.
• The coin compartment is removable, allowing for flexible configuration and easy access to coins.
• A front media slot allows for storage of large bills, checks, or receipts without needing to open the main drawer.

5. Întreținere

To ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your Volcora cash drawer, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• curatenie: Wipe the exterior of the cash drawer with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
• Curatenie interioara: Periodically remove the cash tray and clear any dust, debris, or foreign objects from the inside of the drawer and the drawer slides.
• Mecanism cheie: Keep the keyhole free from dust and debris. Do not force the key if it feels stiff; ensure it is inserted correctly.
• Evitați supraîncărcarea: Do not overload the cash tray with excessive amounts of currency or other items, as this can impede drawer movement and cause damage.
