This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Hoover FloorMate SteamScrub 2-in-1 Hard Floor Steamer, model WH20440PC. Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance to ensure proper function and to prevent injury or damage.

Asamblare și configurare
1. Ansamblul mânerului
- Insert the handle assembly into the main body of the steamer until it clicks securely into place.
- Ensure the handle is firmly attached before proceeding.
2. Attaching the Cleaning Pad
- Place a clean microfiber cleaning pad on the floor with the white side facing up.
- Align the triangular cleaning head of the steamer with the pad and gently press down until the pad adheres to the hook-and-loop fasteners on the head.

3. Umplerea rezervorului de apă
- Locate the water tank on the main unit.
- Open the rubber stopper and fill the tank with distilled water. Using distilled water helps prevent mineral buildup.
- Close the rubber stopper securely. Do not overfill.
Instrucțiuni de operare
Steam Mop Mode (Hard Floors)
- Ensure the cleaning pad is attached and the water tank is filled.
- Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow approximately 30 seconds for the steamer to heat up and produce steam.
- Select the desired steam level (MIN or MAX) using the steam control dial on the handle.
- To release steam, press and hold the steam trigger located on the handle. Move the steamer slowly and steadily over the floor surface.
- For stubborn spots, press the foot pedal on the cleaning head to engage the integrated scrub brush. Release the pedal to retract the brush.
- When finished, release the steam trigger, unplug the unit, and allow it to cool before emptying the water tank and removing the pad.

Handheld Steamer Mode
- To convert to handheld mode, press the release button on the main unit and lift the handheld steamer away from the handle and cleaning head.
- Attach the accessory hose or desired cleaning tool (e.g., concentration nozzle, brush) to the handheld unit.
- Plug in the unit and allow it to heat up.
- Press the steam trigger to release steam and direct it towards the surface to be cleaned. Use appropriate attachments for different tasks (e.g., brushes for grout, squeegee for glass).
- Exercise caution as steam is hot. Do not direct steam at delicate surfaces or electronics.
- When finished, release the steam trigger, unplug the unit, and allow it to cool before detaching accessories.

After each use, remove the microfiber cleaning pad. It can be machine washed with mild detergent and air-dried. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners, as these can damage the pad's fibers.
Descaling the Unit
Mineral buildup from tap water can affect steam performance. To descale:

- Fill the water tank with a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% distilled water.
- Plug in the unit and allow it to heat up.
