  1. Pregătiți frigiderul: Carefully pull the refrigerator away from the wall to access the rear panel.
  2. Deconectați alimentarea: Unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. This is a critical safety step.
  3. Opriți alimentarea cu apă: Locate and turn off the main water supply valve to the refrigerator. This is typically found under the sink or behind the refrigerator.
  4. Manage Water Spillage: Place a towel or absorbent cloth on the floor directly under the water inlet valve to catch any residual water when disconnecting lines.
  5. Disconnect Inlet Hose: Using a 1/2-inch wrench, carefully unscrew the water supply hose from the existing water inlet valve.
  6. Remove Rear Access Panel: Locate and remove the six Phillips head screws securing the lower back panel of the refrigerator. Set the panel and screws aside.

    • Identify the black C-clip on the bottom hose outlet of the valve. Slide this clip out and retain it for reuse.
    • Using a 3/8-inch wrench, push the white security ring up on the outlet hose connection and carefully remove the outlet hose from the valve.
    • Reach inside and unplug the electrical connector from the water valve. Press the tab on the connector to release it.
  8. Clean Area (Optional): While the panel is off, use a vacuum cleaner to remove any accumulated dust from the back of the refrigerator for improved airflow.

    • Connect the electrical plug to the new valve until it clicks securely.
    • Attach the outlet hose to the new valve, ensuring the white security ring is pushed down to secure it, and reinsert the black C-clip.
    • Secure the new water valve holder to the refrigerator frame with its screws.
    • Reconnect the main water supply hose to the new valve using the 1/2-inch wrench. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection.
  10. Restore Rear Panel: Reattach the lower back panel of the refrigerator using the six Phillips head screws.
