1. Introducere

The SONOFF MINI-ZBRBS is a compact Zigbee smart curtain switch module designed to fit standard wall boxes. It allows you to easily upgrade a traditional motorized roller shutter into a smart curtain system. This module supports motors with up to 1A load and works with a Zigbee hub to enable app-based remote control, scheduled operation, and smart scene automation.

Additionally, the MINI-ZBRBS functions as a Zigbee signal repeater, helping to strengthen and stabilize your Zigbee network coverage. Its compact design and versatile features make it an ideal choice for smart Zigbee curtain control.

Note: A compatible SONOFF Zigbee hub is required for operation.

3. Configurare și instalare

3.1 Măsuri de siguranță

WARNING: Please install and maintain the device by a professional electrician. To avoid electric shock hazards, do not operate any connection or contact the terminal connector while the device is powered on!

Caution: For single-phase use only (100-240V~). Connecting to multiple phases may result in damage to the device.

To ensure the safety of your electrical installation, it's essential that either a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) or a Residual Current operated Circuit-breaker with Integral Overcurrent protection (RCBO) with an electrical rating of 1A has been installed before the MINI-ZBRBS.

Motor Requirements:

The device supports general 4-wire AC motors and 5-wire AC motors (with zero wire, motor forward line, motor reverse line, and ground line).

3.3 Pornire și asociere

  1. After wiring, power on the device. The LED signal indicator will "flash slowly", indicating it's in pairing mode.
  2. If not paired within 3 minutes, the device will exit pairing mode. To re-enter, long press the button on the device for 5 seconds until the signal light "flashes slowly" and release.

3.4 Add Device to eWeLink App

  1. Download the "eWeLink" App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Open the eWeLink App and tap "Add Device".
  3. Select your Zigbee gateway (e.g., ZBBridge-P).
  4. Scan the QR code on the device or manually add it.
  5. Wait for the device to be added successfully.

3.5 Travel Calibration

Procenttage control requires travel calibration. Choose one of the following methods:

Method 1: Using eWeLink App

  1. In the eWeLink App, a "Travel Calibration" pop-up window may appear. Alternatively, go to "Initial Settings" on the device settings page.
  2. Perform "Automatic Calibration" or "Manual Calibration" by following the in-app instructions.
  3. For automatic calibration, click "Start Now" and wait for completion.
  4. For manual calibration, click "Manual", then "Next" to mark the "fully open" position, and "Done" to mark the "fully close" position.

Method 2: Using Device Button

  1. Press and hold the device button for more than 10 seconds until the LED indicator enters breathing mode.
  2. Briefly press the device button to enter "Manual Calibration" mode.

  4. Wait for the device to automatically close the curtains, then briefly press the device button again until the LED indicator flashes three times. This completes the "Manual Calibration".

*If there is any deviation in the calibration result, the calibration can be repeated until the desired accuracy is achieved.

*As the maximum one-way allowable continuous operation time for the motor in this device is 2 minutes, please pause the operation before the curtain reaches its limit position to avoid damaging the motor.

3.6 Install in Mounting Box

The MINI-ZBRBS is designed for complete installation into a flush-mounted box and enclosed with a cover plate or switch that fulfills national standard requirements. Ensure no part of the product is exposed after installation.

4. Funcționare

4.1 External Switch Control

The MINI-ZBRBS supports various external switch types, with the default factory setting being a rocker switch (Edge Mode).

  • Comutator basculant: Toggle the "UP" and "DOWN" keys alternately more than 3 times within 6 seconds to control the curtain.
  • Comutator momentan: Press the "UP" key more than 6 times within 6 seconds to control the curtain.

To switch the external switch type: Short-press the button on the device three times. The blue light will flash 3 times, indicating the switch type has been successfully switched. The sequence is: Edge Mode → Pulse Mode → Following Mode.

4.4 Zigbee Signal Booster

The MINI-ZBRBS acts as a Zigbee router, extending the range and stability of your Zigbee mesh network. This is particularly useful in larger homes or areas with weak signal, ensuring all your Zigbee devices communicate effectively.

4.5 Third-Party Platform Integration

The MINI-ZBRBS can integrate with popular third-party smart home platforms like Home Assistant, allowing for centralized control and advanced automation scenarios within your existing smart home ecosystem.

4.6 Apple Home Integration via Matter Bridge

For Apple Home users, the MINI-ZBRBS can be integrated into your ecosystem via a Matter Bridge (e.g., eWeLink CUBE, ZBBridge-U, iHost, NSPanel Pro, or self-hosted software with a ZB Dongle). This enables seamless control of your curtains through Apple Home.

5. Întreținere

5.1 Resetare din fabrică

To perform a factory reset, which will clear all settings and unpair the device, follow one of these methods:

5.2 Preventing Motor Damage

The maximum one-way continuous operation time for the motor connected to this device is 2 minutes. To avoid damaging the motor, always pause the operation before the curtain reaches its limit position if it's operating for an extended period.

The blue LED indicator provides important status information:

6.2 Roller Shutter Direction Test

After wiring, press the external switch to check if the roller shutter moves in the correct direction. If it does not, power off the device, swap the Lout1 and Lout2 wires, and test again.

If not installed and used according to instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. If interference occurs, try the following:

  • Consider Signal Boosting: If you have a large home or many Zigbee devices, strategically placing MINI-ZBRBS modules can significantly improve your network's stability and range.
