1. Introducere

The Rongta RLS1000 is a versatile digital weighing scale integrated with a thermal label printer, designed for efficient and accurate weighing and labeling in various retail and commercial environments. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your RLS1000 scale.

2. Configurare

2.1 Despachetarea și plasarea

3. Insert the thermal label roll, ensuring the labels feed correctly into the printer mechanism. Refer to the diagram below for proper orientation.
4. Push the printer drawer back into place until it clicks securely.

2.4 Network Connection (Optional)

For network connectivity, use the RS232 or Ethernet ports located at the back of the scale. WiFi connectivity is also available on some models.

3. Instrucțiuni de utilizare

3.1 Pornire/Oprire

• Locate the power switch (ON/OFF) on the side or back of the scale.
• Flip the switch to 'ON' to power on the device. The display will illuminate and show startup information.
• Flip the switch to 'OFF' to power off the device.

The RLS1000 features a Two Line LCD 256*32 Dot Matrix Display. It shows:

• Weighting Digit: 5 digits for displaying the current weight.
• Unit Price Digit: 8 digits for displaying the price per unit.
• Total Price Digit: 8 digits for displaying the total calculated price.

3.3 Funcțiile tastaturii

The Mylar Button keyboard has 140 buttons, including 28 function keys and 112 hotkeys (112*2 for shifted functions). Key functions include:

• Numeric input (0-9)
• Function keys (e.g., Shift, Tare, Zero, Print, Clear)
• Hotkeys for quick access to stored PLUs (Product Look-Up units).

3.4 Weighing and Printing

1. Place the item to be weighed on the stainless steel platter. The weight will be displayed.
2. Enter the unit price using the numeric keypad or select a pre-programmed PLU using the hotkeys.
3. The total price will be calculated and displayed.
4. Press the "Print" button to print a thermal label with the product information, weight, unit price, total price, and barcode.

3.5 Data Storage and Management

• The scale can store up to 10,000 PLUs (Product Look-Up units).
• Up to 112 hotkeys can be configured for frequently sold items.
• Product data and prices can be updated in real-time via connected software.
• The software supports online upgrades to meet specific customer demands.

4.1 Curățare

• Regularly clean the stainless steel platter with a soft, damp pânză.
• Wipe down the display and keyboard with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Keep the printer area free from dust and debris to ensure optimal printing quality.

4.2 Printer Head Care

• If print quality degrades, gently clean the thermal print head with a lint-free cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol.
• Ensure the print head is completely dry before resuming operation.

4.3 Calibrare

While the scale is factory-calibrated, periodic calibration may be necessary to maintain accuracy. Refer to the advanced settings in the scale's menu or consult the manufacturer's support for detailed calibration procedures.

5. Depanare

• Scale not powering on: Check power cable connection and ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position. Verify the power outlet is functional.
• Inaccurate weight readings: Ensure the scale is on a level, stable surface. Check for any obstructions under the platter. Recalibration might be needed.
• No label printing: Verify that label paper is correctly loaded and that the printer drawer is fully closed. Check for paper jams. Ensure the print command was sent correctly.
• Calitate slabă a imprimării: Clean the thermal print head. Ensure you are using compatible thermal label paper.
