5. Configurare

5.1 Montare

5.2 Cablare

The photoelectric switch uses a 3-wire NPN configuration. Connect the wires as follows:

  • Sârmă maro: Connect to the positive (+) terminal of the DC10-30V power supply.
  • Sârmă albastră: Connect to the negative (-) terminal (GND) of the DC10-30V power supply.
  • Sârmă neagră: This is the NPN Normally Open (NO) output. Connect it to the input of your control circuit (e.g., PLC, relay). When an object is detected, this output will switch to a low state (close to GND).

Once properly installed and wired, the photoelectric switch operates automatically:

  • Principiul de detectare: The U-shaped sensor contains an infrared light emitter on one side and a receiver on the opposite side. When an object passes through the trough, it interrupts the light beam.
  • NPN Normally Open Output: In its normal state (no object detected, beam unobstructed), the NPN output (black wire) is open (high impedance). When an object interrupts the light beam, the output switches to a closed state (low impedance, connected to GND), signaling detection to the connected control circuit.
  • Timp de răspuns: The sensor's fast switching frequency of less than 300Hz allows it to detect rapidly moving objects accurately.

Ensure that the objects to be detected are within the 30mm detection distance and are opaque enough to reliably block the infrared light beam.
