1. Introducere

Thank you for choosing the ECD Germany 43L Electronic Safe. This safe is designed to provide secure storage for your valuables, including cash, jewelry, documents, and other important items. It features a robust steel construction, an electronic keypad for PIN access, and a traditional key override for emergency situations. 2. Instrucțiuni de siguranță

• Nu depozitați cheile de urgență în seif. Always keep the emergency keys in a secure location outside the safe, accessible only to authorized individuals.
• Păstrați-vă codul PIN confidențial. Do not share your personal identification number (PIN) with unauthorized persons.
• Evitați expunerea seifului la temperaturi sau umiditate extremă. This can damage the electronic components and affect the safe's functionality.
• Asigurați-vă instalarea corectă a bateriei. Incorrect battery polarity can cause damage to the electronic lock.
• Mount the safe securely. For maximum security, always utilize the pre-drilled mounting holes to anchor the safe to a wall or floor.

4. Configurare și instalare

4.1 Instalarea bateriei

1. Localizați compartimentul bateriilor în interiorul ușii seifului.
2. Deschideți capacul compartimentului bateriei.
3. Introduceți 4 baterii AA, asigurând polaritatea corectă (+/-).
4. Închideți capacul compartimentului bateriei.

4.2 Initial PIN Setup

Upon first use, or after battery replacement, you will need to set your personal PIN.

1. Cu ușa seifului deschisă, localizați butonul roșu de resetare din interiorul ușii, lângă balama.
2. Press the red reset button. You will hear a beep, and the yellow indicator light on the keypad will illuminate.
3. Within 5 seconds, enter your desired 3 to 8 digit PIN on the keypad.
4. Confirm your PIN by pressing the "#" button. You will hear a confirmation beep.
5. Test the new PIN with the door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.

4.3 Montarea seifului

For enhanced security, it is highly recommended to mount the safe to a wall or floor using the provided bolt anchors.

1. Choose a suitable location for mounting, such as a solid wall or floor.
2. Identify the pre-drilled holes on the back and bottom of the safe.

4. Drill holes at the marked points using an appropriate drill bit for your wall/floor material.
5. Align the safe with the drilled holes and insert the bolt anchors.

5. Instrucțiuni de utilizare

5.1 Opening the Safe with PIN

1. Introduceți codul PIN format din 3 până la 8 cifre pe tastatură.
2. Press the "#" button. The green indicator light will illuminate.
3. În decurs de 5 secunde, rotiți butonul în sensul acelor de ceasornic pentru a deschide ușa seifului.

5.2 Deschiderea seifului cu cheia de urgență

The emergency key provides access if you forget your PIN or if the batteries are depleted.

1. Locate the concealed keyhole, usually behind the ECD Germany logo plate or a removable cover on the keypad.
2. Insert the emergency key into the keyhole and turn it counter-clockwise.
3. While holding the key turned, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

5.3 Changing the PIN

You can change your PIN at any time while the safe door is open.

1. With the safe door open, press the red reset button on the inside of the door.
2. The yellow indicator light will illuminate.
3. Enter your new 3 to 8 digit PIN.
4. Confirm your new PIN by pressing the "#" button.
5. Test the new PIN with the door open before closing.

6. Întreținere

6.1 Înlocuirea bateriei

When the batteries are low, the red indicator light on the keypad may flash or the safe may not respond. Replace all 4 AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.

1. Open the safe using your PIN or the emergency key.
2. Locate and open the battery compartment on the inside of the door.
3. Scoateți bateriile vechi și aruncați-le în mod responsabil.

6.2 Curățare

Curățați exteriorul seifului cu o lavetă moale șiamp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the powder-coated finish.

6.3 Internal Protection

The safe includes a protective felt mat on the inside to prevent scratches and damage to your valuables. Ensure this mat is properly placed. The removable intermediate shelf can be adjusted or removed to accommodate items of various sizes.

7. Depanare

• Seiful nu se deschide cu codul PIN:
  - Ensure you are entering the correct PIN. Try again carefully.
  - Check if the batteries are low. Replace them if necessary.
  - Use the emergency key to open the safe.
• Tastatura nu răspunde:
  - Replace the batteries with new ones.
  - Ensure the battery compartment is closed securely.
• Ușa nu se închide corect:
  - Check for any obstructions preventing the door from closing fully.
  - Ensure the locking bolts are retracted before attempting to close.
• PIN uitat:
  - Use the emergency key to open the safe.
  - Once open, reset the PIN using the red reset button as described in Section 4.2.
