This system comprises two main units: a local unit (Transmitter) that connects to the computer and a remote unit (Receiver) that connects to up to four USB devices. The connection between these two units is established using a standard, low-cost CAT5/5e/6 network cable (not included).

A key feature of this extender is Power over CAT5/6 (PoC), which means only the Transmitter/Local unit requires a power supply. This allows the Receiver/Remote unit and its connected devices to be positioned more flexibly without needing a separate power source. 4. Instrucțiuni de configurare

Follow these steps to set up your LINDY USB 2.0 4 Port CAT.5/6 Extender:

1. Conectați unitatea transmițătoare: Connect the USB 2.0 Type A/B cable from your computer's USB port to the USB Type B port on the LINDY Transmitter unit.
2. Conectați sursa de alimentare: Plug the included 24V 0.25A power supply into the DC 24V input port on the Transmitter unit. Connect the power supply to a suitable power outlet. The Power over CAT5/6 (PoC) feature will supply power to the Receiver unit through the network cable.

Ensure the cable is securely seated in both ports. For optimal performance and to achieve the maximum extension distance of 50m, use good quality CAT6 UUTP Solid Core cable. Using different cable types or introducing wall plates, couplers, or patch panels may reduce the possible distance.
4. Connect USB Devices to the Receiver Unit: Connect your USB peripheral devices (e.g., keyboard, mouse, printer, webcam) to the four USB Type A ports on the Receiver unit.

Montarea unităților

Both the Transmitter and Receiver units feature integrated mounting brackets. These can be used to secure the units to a surface, such as a wall or desk, using appropriate screws (not included) for a more permanent and tidy installation.
